The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts various examinations such as SSC JE Examination, SSC Stenographer Examination, SSC MTS Examination, SSC CHSL Examination, SSC CGL Examination, SSC CPO Examination, SSC JE Examination, and SSC GD Examination. This article gives brief information about the SSC Notification and SSC Exam.

The Staff Selection Commission updates all the important SSC recruitment information through the SSC notification on the official website. The most recent SSC Notification for Stenographer examination was released on October 10th 2020. SSC Notification for SSC MTS examination was released on February 2nd 2021. SSC Notification for SSC CPO was released on June 17th 2020. SSC Notification for SSC JE examination was released on October 1st 2020. SSC Notification for SSC CGL examination was released on December 29th 2020. SSC Notification for SSC CHSL examination was released on November 6th 2020.

SSC recruitment exams are held in 9 SSC regions. SSC Eastern Region (ER) covers the states of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Jharkhand, Odisha, Sikkim and West Bengal. SSC Karnataka, Kerala Region (KKR) covers the states of Lakshadweep, Karnataka and Kerala. SSC Western Region (WR) covers Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Goa, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.  SSC Southern Region (SR) covers the states of Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. SSC North Western Sub-Region (NWR) covers Chandigarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. SSC North Eastern Region covers Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura. SSC Madhya Pradesh Sub-Region covers Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

The following information gives brief details about the SSC exam – Junior Engineering (JE). The SSC JE Notification was released on 1st October 2020. The time duration given to complete the SSC JE online application form was from 1st October 2020 – 30th October 2020. SSC exam JE Paper I (Computer-based exam) was scheduled from 22nd March 2021 to 24th March 2021. SSC exam JE Paper I (Computer-based exam) Result was released on 30th June 2021. SSC exam JE Paper-II (Conventional) was released on 26th September 2021.

The SSC GD exam is the General Duty Constable examination conducted annually by the Staff Selection Commission for the recruitment of eligible personnel in various Government departments and Ministries of the country. Every year the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) offers a golden opportunity to millions of aspirants across India by conducting an SSC GD recruitment drive for hiring new entrants for the posts of Constables (General Duty) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), NIA & SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles (AR) from various States/ Union Territories across India. SSC exam (Stenographer) is an All India level examination that recruits candidates for Stenographer Grade C (non-gazetted post) and Grade D posts in various departments of the Government of India. SSC exam (CPO) is a national level exam to recruit eligible candidates from the Central Police Organization under the Government of India.

As per SSC exam – Junior Engineering , students will have to answer General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness Paper. Both these sections will have 50 questions each. The candidates will be required to attempt the General Engineering part on the basis of their educational qualification, in the online application form. Candidates appearing for the post of Junior Engineer (Mechanical) are required to attempt Part-C (Mechanical) of Paper-I, candidates appearing for the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical) are required to attempt Part-B  (Electrical) of Paper-I, the candidates appearing for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil), Junior Engineer (Quantity Surveying & Contracts) are required to attempt Part-A (Civil & Structural) of Paper-I. The duration of the exam is 2 hours for Paper-I. It will be an objective type test. The Paper – II will be a written examination.
